Upgrade from Nprinting June 2017 to Nov 2017 failed

I tried upgrading NPrinting June 2017 Release to NPrinting Nov 2017 release in a virtual machine that has Win2012 Server as the guest OS. I started the upgrade with NPrinting Server, however that failed with error message "0x800713ec - Asia". The install log shows the following (not quite helpful) errors (see below). Googling this error suggests that it's a Windows error, but installing all the latest Windows updates into this VM did not help, same error.

Does anybody know how to fix this issue?

Hi Helga,

did you stop all services before you started the Upgrade?

Yes, like indicated in the documentation I stopped all the Nprinting services and made sure in Task Manager that they are really stopped.

The error indicates that .net 4.6.2 is missing from your system likely due to the fact that your system does not have access to the internet.

You must install NDP462-KB3151800 from Microsoft to resolve this then attempt to install again. The package could not be installed because NP was not able to download it in the background during the upgrade process.

Hi Frank,

thanks a lot, that solved my problem. However before installing .NET 4.6.2 I had to install some more Windows updates, that hadn't been installed before although I had installed all available Windows updates prior to running the .NET 4.6.2 offline installer. So altogether I had to do "Check for updates" and install all available updates 2-3 times before .NET 4.6.2 could be installed. After that the NPrinting upgrade went smooth.
