What is happening while my task is in the Queue?

Hey all, need your help in understanding why NPrinting seems to take an eternity to start work on my report.

I am running a dedicated NPrinting server to schedule some weekly emails. The overall task applies one filter to the report and then exports two tables and eight graphs. The document is loaded via qvp.

What surprises me is the time that NPrinting seems to be idling before it actually starts the task. Right now, this task has been waiting for over 70 minutes with status 'Queued'. There are no other NPrinting tasks running. It hasn't even started with the 'Starting content resolution for report' code in the log.

CPU usage is consistently under 4%, the memory has at least 25GB free and network usage is also under 300 Kbps (likely explained by my remote desktop session). The Qlikview server is running the latest service release from November 2017. The Nprinting server is completely up to date.

Anyone have any idea on how we can speed this up? Thanks!

That is strange.
To find out more I would go to the Schedueler log files, to see if they can reveal more information about what is going on. Also tjek the status of the Nprinting engine. If the engine is not ready, that would be a logical explanation of why the task does not move from queue to execution.

Agree - and also double check if all services are actually running
