Hi Friends,
We are getting started with N printing and have created a connection to a qvw on the server.
This qvw has sheets which are opened when a button is clicked .
My question is why is n printing unable to detect the objects on those sheets (when a sheet is hidden or the objects are hidden)
Thanks & Regards,
Nadeem
i placed a textbox on a new tab updated objects on my connection, built and tested the report. Once that was done I then hid just the new tab (not the object on the tab but just the tab), reran the report and the text object on the hidden tab printed correctly on the report
a workaround is to unhide objects and sheets while building the Nprinting report - Once you have built the report, you can then hide the objects/sheets and the report should work.
NPrinting will not find the objects while they are hiddent but once they are associated in the templte, they can be hidden at that point
have you had success with un-hiding object/tab, building your repot, test , re-hide and verify the report still works?
Hi,Thanks a lot for your reply , Really appreciate that.
Sorry for the delayed resposne.
I did some work on the report template as you had guided.
My report consisted of two tables and two text boxes as images .I got the following results
1.i created the report without hiding my objects then i hid them and when i preview the report i am able to see the hidden tables but not the hidden text objects.
2.if i hide the sheet which consists the objects i again get the same behavior as above.
How do i get the hidden text object to be displayed as well
Regards,
Nadeem
I am currently running an NPrinting report that accesses a table which is on a hidden tab. I unhid the tab, created my report and tested. I then re-hid the tab and the object on the tab prints correctly
can you possibly provide a qvw and nsq? or at least a snapshot of the object in QlikView and how it is printing?
Yeah nprinting prints the table correctly but it fails to print the text objects, these text objects are brought into n printing designer as images .
So i mean , the table objects are printing but the text objects are not .
ok - I will try and see if I can duplicate by having an nprinting report with hiddent text objects
Thanks for all your help
looks like I can duplicate the issue - what about putting these text objects on another tab (since you are hiding them) and hide the tab? will that work for you?
I did this without hiding the tabs as well but the problem persisted.
