In this case you can use the Page feature. Here there is the explaination for PowerPoint Using the page feature in PowerPoint reports ‒ Qlik NPrinting but with Excel it works in the same way.

In the Page node you can add a field and you'll get a different Excel sheet for each value of the field.

Ruggero

Ronald,

It is very hard for me to understand your question because there are no details.

For example, what type of report template are you using?

Could you better describe your question? Thanks

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi Ruggero,

For example if I apply a filter on geography on 2 sheets (say sheet A and sheet B) and there are USA, British and JPN. the order of the tabs will be USA_A, British_A, JPN_A, USA_B, British_B, JPN_B. and I want to change it to  USA_A, USA_B, British_A, British_B,JPN_A,JPN_B

Hi Ruggero

This is interesting question.

Assume you have XLS with Sheet1 and Sheet2 and you want to use PAGE node on both of those sheets (say country)

your expected result would be for example:

  • Sheet1USA
  • Sheet2USA
  • Sheet1Australia
  • Sheet2Australia
  • Sheet1NewZealand
  • Sheet2NewZealand

or you may have a problem with sorting and have:

  • Sheet1USA
  • Sheet1Australia
  • Sheet1NewZealand
  • Sheet2USA
  • Sheet2Australia
  • Sheet2NewZealand

I assue out of the box 2nd scenario will occur. and to achieve 1st scenario you need to "hack the system":)

I think Ronald created another post for the same: Page feature to multiple tabs

ronaldwang‌ try not to duplicate threads/posts as it creates problems when answering them. When you want to add details to your question edit your original post and keep it under the same "hood".

rpc would you be able to help answer this question?

thanks mate!

Hi,

At the moment (June 2017) there is a bug so you cannot add the same field two times in the Page node.

You can add a field only one time as Page so you have to include all parts of you report in the same Excel Worksheet.

I don't know when this will be resolved.

Actually i can add same field twice on page node.but there are two limitation:

*can not control the name of the tab

*there is a limitation on the number of nodes*number of value in the field value, when the limitation exceeds, error "row index can not be negative" will appear

Could you post screenshots so I can share them with developers?

Hi,

If you add only one Region_Page field it works?

The error message seems a Qlik NPrinting 16.* message. What version are you using?

Ruggero
