nPrinting 17.5

I have a variable that points to a folder and if it is not there, in nPrinting 16.5, it would create the folder.

Where is this option in nPrinting 17.5?

Hi,

In Qlik NPrinting 17+ you have to create a folder destination and add it into the publishing task. Refer to https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2018/Content/AdministeringQVNprinting/Folder-destination.h...

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi Ruggero,,

My variable contains the path but a folder needs to be created. In 16.5, there is an option that says if no folder exists, create the folder. The same variable has the full path and I have this created in the destination and added it to the publishing task but the output wont find the folder if no folder exists.

How does 17.5 create a folder?

Hi,

You can do this by giving the folder path while creating user as destination folder.

please refer below link for details.

Akhilesh

Hi,

Yes, it will be created without the need of the checkbox as it was on the 16 version.

I just tested on June 2018.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

The reason I am using a variable is that each month the path changes to create a new folder each month.

vPath = ='\\folder\Groups$\Operations\Business_Analysis\Analytics\Client Reports\CLIENT REPORTS from QV\LPI\' & date(today(),'YYYYMMDD') & '\'

In my destination folder, I have added the variable vPath

In my task, I've added the folder vPath.

This has been what I am saying all along.

So now when I hit the run button, the reports are generated in the newsstand but don't go into the destination folder.

So I am still in the same predication

Hi,

Did you follow the guide https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/June2018/Content/AdministeringQVNprinting/Folder-destination.h...?

You must:

- Create the new destination folder by using the variable

- Add the folder as destination in the publish task

- Activate the flag for all users and the folder destination

Best Regards,

Ruggero
