nPrinting PowerPoint Corrupted?

Hi,

I am creating a report in nPrinting using PowerPoint. Whenever I do this and get the report out I get an error when I open this document and try to store it again. The error I get is:

"An error occured while PowerPoint was saving the file" and then I get "The file is corrupt and cannot be opened".

Anyone else had any issues like this before?

Best,

Ali

Hi,

It seems something related to the specific template file. Please try to create a new PowerPoint template and verify if the error appears also with the new one.

Please always specify the versions of the products you are using in your community posts, and , if possible, attach screenshots.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

Hi,

First of all thanks for the response.

If I make a new template with Qlik nPrinting it works fine. At the same time if I take that specific document before I use it as a template and before I’ve used it in nPrinting it also saves fine. So something happens between importing -> importing objects -> trying to store it again.

I am using Qlik nPrinting November 2017 and here are attached screenshots:

Thanks again.

So, could you remove the old report and create a new one?

Is not clear to me, you experienced the issued when using the report import feature?

Did you checked the Qlik NPrinting logs?

Best,

Ruggero

I can import the document fine as as a template.  I've made changes etc. and have used nPrinting to add maybe 5-6 graphs. After that I've published on e-mail and on a server and it looks fine. Document looks good. The issue is after opening this document (after I have used it in nPrinting as a template, added graphs etc and published it) I can't store it again. Then it gives the errors above.

Before that everything works fine.

Hi,

I suggest you to open a support ticket. The issue requires a deeper investigation that is not possible to do via community messages.

Created a new template and works fine now. I suspect it is because of objects in the PPT was getting data from a different Excel sheet.
