Hi
I am currently building a PPT report in NPrinting, im having some issues when building my PPT template up with images,my charts are built dynamically in QlikView and therefore are single objects with multiple dimensions all controlled by expressions/variables!
Im relatively new to NPrinting, I have built other reports successfully using individual objects but never before using charts in this way!
Can anyone offer any advice?
Thanks
Peter
Hi Peter,
Are you encountering a specific issue when trying to use your chart as an image in an NPrinting PowerPoint report template?
Please follow this tutorial. It shows how to use QlikView charts as images in a PPTX report: http://community.vizubi.com/knowledgebase/articles/260281-how-to-create-powerpoint-reports
Let us know.
Thanks - Daniel.
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your response, the issue im having is that each object (i.e. charts) is built using conditions based on user selection. So when the user makes another page selection, the same chart is updated with the relevant data.
Do we need to have a separate Qlikview object built in to the dashboard so that Nprinting can export each of those or is there a way around this?
Thanks
Peter
Hi Peter,
Thanks for the good question.
The best way is to use NPrinting filters to replicate the user selections.
You can add filters to tasks and reports or specific filters to recipients. The filters select values and so also the conditions in your chart will change updating it with relevant data.
Notice that NPrinting creates static reports, so the filters must be already set in the .nsq file before you launch the report.
Here below you can find some tutorials about filter. Hope this helps

Hi Peter,
have a look at Specific filter functionality
It allows you to have the same QV object multiple times with different filters.

Peter,
I had a similar problem, the selection's drove variables that impacted the set analysis of my objects. Since Nprinting will not let you set a filter on variables I had to replicate the objects and hard code the selections (in my case it was timeframes). It was a little more work upfront but now they all work without any complications. Good Luck

Good day
I'm trying to access the above mentioned link but I can't access it. I don't know why.
Hi Katlego,
This is the current link: How to Apply a Specific Filter to Tables or Images
