NP 16.8 recipient filter doesn't work and send entire data when dataset for recipient is empty

Hi friends ,

I am facing issue with generating reports using recipient filter.

In 99% user filters works OK, but when the report for recipient is empty, NP generates him entire data for all recipients.

I have newest version of Nprinting: 16.8.0.0

Hi,

This is how Qlik NPrinting 16 normally work.

To avoid to create the report in case the filter returns an empty dataset you must enable the Verify filter option.

This option is not present in Qlik NPrinting 17+ because it is active by default.

Unfortunately it does't work. Filter value is correct, but when the shop "Barcin" hasn't  any data in the chart NPrinting generates them full dataset.

Are you filtering other fields on the same filter?

Hi,

From the 16 documentation:

How to Create Static and Dynamic Filters Based on Fields

2. Verify filter: this will do two things:

         a) If a filter with Verify filter is applied and the resulting data set is empty, then NPrinting will not generate a report. This can be used to do conditional reporting.

         b) If a filter without Verify filter is applied, NPrinting try to select values that not exist in the .qvw. In this case QlikView enables all values so NPrinting will generate a report with the unfiltered dataset. For instance, if you filter for France and 2013 but there were no sales in France in 2013, NPrinting will create a report with sales on all other countries.

If this doesn't work please open a support ticket.

OK thx

The problem is in "verify filter" option. I have also many other filters and i have to manage.

I changed filtered column and checked this options "verify filter" and now is OK.
