NPrinting 17 - Distributing reports to folders

Does anyone know if NPrinting can distribute a report to a network folder?  Or only to a folder on the NPrinting Server? (I tried to schedule an NPrinting task to deliver a report to a network folder, but it didn't work.)

According to the Qlik NPrinting Help site: "With the Qlik NPrinting Server, you can deliver reports to a specified folder location. You can create destination folders and use them in tasks. All folder paths are referenced to the Qlik NPrinting Server hard disks."

Below is a screen shot from the Qlik NPrinting Help site, which has me confused.

Hi,

The sentence "All folder paths are referenced to the Qlik NPrinting Server hard disks." means that the paths you insert in the destination folder configuration are paths related to the computer where Qlik NPrinting Server is installed. For example, if you create a destination folder with the path "C:\Reports, the C drive is the C drive of the Qlik NPrinting Server.

If the destination folder is a network folder you must use UNC (Universal Naming Convention). For example, \\ServerName\FolderName. Mapped folders are not supported, so you cannot map \\ServerName\FolderName as Z drive and insert Z in the folder configuration. You must use \\ServerName\FolderName.

Best Regards,

Ruggero

NPrinting 17 can distribute to shared folders too.. just create destination folder first with the servername and shared location.

I am not sure whether this is a supported feature, but i am using it successfully

cheers

Lech

Ruggero,

So I have to use the UNC, but it is still not working.  My destination folder is two words.  Con Acct

I have tried it three ways, and yet none of them work.  Would you happen to have any suggestion?
