NPrinting 16:
Input File:
Sales Rep | Filter1 | Filter2 | Filter3
Tom | tom@xyz.com | 2020 | USA | Retail |
Tom | tom@xyz.com | 2019 | USA | Retail |
Tom | tom@xyz.com | 2017 | CAN | Sales |
Mike | Mike@xyz.com | 2020 | USA | Retai |
Output: NPrinting 16 will go thru each of above line via excel and send individual emails with report attachments. Tom will get 3 emails with 3 reports attached and Mike will get 1.
NPrinting 19: Issues and we cannot replicate above solution.
Output: NPrinting 19 will cycle thru each input line from excel and produce report however it will combine all the reports for same sales rep into 1 email with 1 big zip file attachment which causes failures on SMTP server side.
In above example it will produce 3 reports for Tom, it will zip 3 reports into 1 zip file and send 1 email. This fails as zip file becomes too big.
How can we send individual email for each report.
Hi,
Create recipient import for this report where in recipient import you will create individual line as a new recipient. You can use dummy email addresses as they must be unique for each filter combination you want to apply per recipient.
In you Publish task--> Email you choose option "Alternative Email 1". That way email will go to tom@xyz.com instead of tom1@xyz.com,tom2@xyz.com. etc...
For each Email you need to create filter reference, which is setup in filter sheet of the recipient import (check the structure of file from link below)
All users you can add to group so then in your publish task you can use group as recipient which will save you time , (so you dont have to add all of them individually).
Sales Rep | AlternativeEmail | filter | Group
Tom1 | tom1@xyz.com | tom@xyz.com | tom1filter | report1
Tom2 | tom2@xyz.com | tom@xyz.com | tom2filter | report1
Tom3 | tom3@xyz.com | tom@xyz.com | tom3filter | report1
Mike1 | Mike1@xyz.com | Mike1@xyz.com | mike1filter | report1 |
look at the link below and use the sample recipient import file to build your recipient import template. This file cannot be modified (You cannot change sheet names and column names!!!)
cheers

How can we avoid sending email to fake address. When we do it via above method it is sending emails to both real and alternate email.
