Hello Folks,
I'm moving my NPrinting system from one to another. I've done the backup on the current system after stopping the three services over there (NPrintingEngine , NPrintingScheduler, NPrintingWebEngine).
When I go to restore on the new system of the same version (Nov. 2019), it gets to
Database successfully restored from file...
And then it's a sea of Errors with:
File C:\Users\administrator.DTS\AppData\Local\Temp\nprintingrestore_2020521163629\files\GUIDFROMHELL does not exist in the source backup package.
Are these errors normal? I ran the backup command found here to create the backup (it was quite simple for all the work I assume it does)
Any help on this is greatly appreciated.
Hi,
You can ignore this error. After the restore check the new installation and when you are sure everything is ok I suggest you to upgrade to a newer version.

And then there is a question - does new system work?
I don't know what those errors mean, whoever when I was rookie in NPrinting i simply ignored them (as I had nothing to lose) and I moved on to next steps. Usually it worked when I got "Database successfully restored from file..." response...
Something tells me that those errors are references to some temp files which are not backed up. This is actually a question to NPrinting chaps, who probably could tell us little bit more, right @Ruggero_Piccoli ? Would you be able to comment on that? thanks!

there you go @Ruggero_Piccoli - even as a rookie I had a good feel and hunch what I should ignore 🙂
@Lech_Miszkiewicz Yes! This issue is resolved in more recent versions.
