Hi all,
I am currently looking for reasons to upgrade to Nprinting 17 from Nprinting 16.
Could someone tell me if the Nprinting 17 on-demand add-on is an extension and
therefore only for the "full browser" rather than the IE plugin.
Below are some the of features we will be looking for before we upgrade to version 17:
Missing features - needed:
Variable filter
HTML embedded reports
Missing features - nice to have but might be able to workaround
Cycling Reports
Linked Fields
Recipient Import Wizard
Thanks in advance.
Mark
Hi Mark,,
If you need variable filter and HTML embeded in your report you cannot migrate to NP17. These are not supported yet and there is no specific date when they become available.
In terms of OnDemand functionality and IE plugin.
OnDemand is a component which is now embeded in AJAX tabrow (together with "Reports", "Bookmarks",Clear All - it is not an extension.
As IE is not supported for about couple of years IE plugin is not beeing developed and NPrinting on Demand is not available in IE plugin (as far as i have tested it).
regards
Lech

Thanks for the reply Lech,
I'll be keeping a check on the features list, hoping to upgrade sometime this year:

I must admit I didn't realise that IE was not supported.
Thanks
Mark
Hi Mark, What i meant by IE not beeing supported is that Microsoft is not developing it anymore and is not updateing it anymore. The lates version (i think 11 was released in 2015 and gets only security updates and compatibility updets on Windows 7,8.1 & 10) and later Edge was introduced.
Qlik IE plugin is still there, but it is not beeing developed.
