nPrinting failing after upgrading to Feb2025 and uninstalling the old Microsoft visual c++

Hi All,

I recently got a requirement to uninstall old softwares ( VC ++ 2010). We had nprinting May 2022. Now we installed nPrinting Feb2025 everything worked fine until we uninstall the old VC ++ even though we have VC++ 2015-2022 installed. All services are running fine, it just gets stuck when generating a report. How do I fix this?

Are you able to regenerate metadata?

What do you see when you run Connection Verification test - after upgrades you would need to regenerate QS certificates and reinstall them (using new steps as there were extra settings to certificates in Settings/Tasks)

@dewan_abdullah we list 2013 but not 2010 (https://help.qlik.com/en-US/nprinting/February2025/Content/NPrinting/DeployingQVNprinting/System-req...), I'm going to test this myself.  Anything in the NPrinting logs?

@dewan_abdullah I had same version of NP in a VM, I upgraded it, I did have V++ 2008 and have removed it, still running tasks fine.

Check your NP logs in c:\programdata\nprinting\logs anything in there?

And as @Lech_Miszkiewicz suggested can you do verification and reload metadata?
