June was a month that was nothing short of exciting. The June 2020 Release highlights included data analytics enhancements to augmented intelligence, visualizations, and connectivity as well as notable improvements to our data integration platform. No sooner was this release out the door that we launched QlikWorld Online - our annual global user conference. This was our first virtual QlikWorld event and it was bigger and better than ever. If you missed the event, it is still available now here on-demand thru the summer to catch our keynotes, 100 breakout sessions and too many other resources to list in our Data Discovery Zone. At QlikWorld Online it was clear that Qlik is continuing to prove its position as a BI leader in its SaaS offering which is echoed in our July monthly release to the cloud.

Here’s a closer look at highlights of our July cloud release to further our innovations in SaaS for 2020.

The July cloud release supports our continued focus on providing more functionality for QlikView users to manage, consume, and explore QlikView content in the cloud. April included automated uploads of QlikView documents to Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS for consumption, as well as the launch of our Analytics Modernization Program, which provides QlikView customers cost-effective options to adopt Qlik Sense Enterprise at their own pace. The May release included the ability to upload QlikView content to Qlik Sense Business.

Export QlikView content to Excel

The July release gives users consuming QlikView documents in the cloud the ability to export data from those documents to Excel. This capability is one of many features we’re adding to our Qlik Sense SaaS offerings to provide more flexibility for users to work with their existing QlikView content in the cloud.

Bookmarks for QlikView

The first phase of delivering bookmarks for QlikView in the cloud is here.  Now, anyone using QlikView in the cloud will be able to:

  • Create Personal Bookmarks - Add/Remove/Replace
  • Include Selections
  • Apply on Top
  • Include Layout State
  • Include Scroll Position
  • Replace Bookmark for AJAX client

Additional support for QlikView bookmarks in the cloud will be added to future releases.

Connectivity Enhancements to Include More Data Sources

With each release we continuously provide access to more and enhanced data sources, broadening users’ ability to connect directly to business-critical data and combine multiple data sets from multiple sources. The July monthly release is no exception. We’ve added connectivity  for Microsoft Dynamic CRM and JIRA. Additionally, we’ve added read-only support to view web storage data from OneDrive. With more data sources readily available, there are now more opportunities to uncover hidden actionable insights.

You can check out our June 2020 Release Innovation Blog here if you missed it. Don’t forget to take advantage of all of the on-demand content QlikWorld Online has to offer at your leisure while it’s available this summer to learn more about our Data Integration and Analytics portfolio, our innovations including our Enterprise SaaS offering and our roadmap for our vision for the future.

Blog Edit 7/16/20: The QlikView bookmark features "Share with Everyone" and "Mail Bookmark as a Link" were removed  from this post as they are planned for a future release.
