Coming off the heels of our exciting April 2020 Platform Release, we’re excited to announce our next monthly product release for cloud editions of Qlik Sense. As we mentioned back in March, we’ve added a monthly feature release to cloud editions to align with our continuous development cycle and accelerate your innovation in the cloud. Here’s a closer look at highlights of our May release.

QlikView Documents are now accessible in Qlik Sense Business

As we mentioned back in our April release, we’ve made several platform enhancements that make it easier for new and existing Qlik users to adopt Qlik Sense. The May release includes new functionality in Qlik Sense Business that enables the ability to upload and consume QlikView documents within a Qlik Sense Business environment. This new capability can support existing QlikView customers who want to explore Qlik Sense and work with their QlikView documents in a Qlik Sense environment.

For expanded functionality, our Analytics Modernization Program, which launched in April, offers even more functionality to automate content distribution and reloads and the use of QlikView Publisher between QlikView and Qlik Sense Enterprise environments. The program supports our QlikView users that want to leverage their investment in QlikView to adopt Qlik Sense in a full production environment.

Ability to Alias a Qlik Sense tenant

We also continue to release new functionality that simplifies management and administration functionality for our cloud users. The May release allows Qlik Sense Business and Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS subscribers to give a Qlik Sense tenant a "customized name" to describe it, as well as the ability to alias the tenant name that they chose at tenant setup in cloud versions of Qlik Sense, making it easier to control and manage app usage across the organization or functional teams. This functionality applies to both Qlik Sense Business and Qlik Sense Enterprise SaaS.

If you missed our feature-packed April 2020 Platform Release, catch up on our April Innovation Blog to read about the latest capabilities. You can also read more about our Analytics Modernization program and our changes to Qlik Sense Enterprise offerings that will ease choice and deployment flexibility for customers adopting Qlik Sense.
