Best Practice when resizing a cloud VM running Replicate

Hi Support,

In the event that a cloud VM which is running Qlik Replicate needs to be resized, are there any considerations that should be taken into account prior to the resizing?

My understanding is that resizing a VM usually involves a restart of the server, and therefore, prior to resizing all Replicate tasks need to be stopped. Would there be anything else that needs to be done on the Replicate side before resizing the VM?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Nak

Hello @NakulanR ,

Thanks for reaching out to Qlik Community!

I think the process is as same as the Qlik Replicate Server rebooting:

1- Stop all tasks one by one;

2- Resizing VM and rebooting;

3- Start/Resume tasks one by one.

Please note that during the startup of the Replicate Services, all tasks will also be initiated. A high number of stopped tasks may lead to a failure in starting the service. Therefore, it is crucial to stop all tasks before stopping the Replicate Server.

Hope this helps.

John.
