Can Attunity Replicate AND Compose be installed on the same server? Can it be acceptable?

Hi,

In my project in the Netherlands we are wanting to use Attunity Replicate software and Compose (the Data Warehouse edition). We will probably go with 6.5 or 6.6 version.

Can Attunity Replicate AND Compose be installed on the same server?

What is the recommendation, is it recommended to install it on different servers, or can it be acceptable to have both on the same server?

Hi @jblomqvist You should not install them on same servers in DEV and above. It should always be different servers. For sandbox environment, you can install on same machine - ensure to check if compose can be installed on same windows configuration as replicate before performing the install. For a deep dive on install and configurations, please engage Qlik Consulting Services or CSE.

Below are the specifications from user guide for replicate. Let me know for any additional questions.

Regards

Hi @JitenderR

The Compose documentation says it is allowed https://help.qlik.com/en-US/compose/Content/Compose/DataLakes/6.5/PDF/Install_User_Guide.pdf Page 12.

The Data Warehouse edition does not mention this so I am a little confused.

Thank You @jblomqvist . Ideally installing both compose and replicate on a single box, even if allowed, it depends on your workloads as well. For instance, if the single box has enough resources (memory/cpu) to handle both workloads, you can install. But i would still suggest you to contact Qlik Professional Services to confirm if this is recommended in PROD.
