I am currently running Replicate 2024.5.0.583 on RHEL Linux 8 and I need to know if it is acceptable to do an in-place upgrade directly to version 2025.11 SP1? If I need to do an intermediate version update what version is best to use as the temporary version in the middle?
Hello @Greg_Pagan
In general, a higher version of QEM is backward compatible with lower versions of Qlik Replicate. Therefore, the recommended upgrade path would be:
The same approach can be followed for the Pre-PROD and PROD environments.
Hope this helps.
John.
Hi @Greg_Pagan
We advise you to upgrade replicate from 2024.5 to 2025.5 and then to 2025.11 latest sp.
Hope this helps!
Thanks

I can share the download links but please test in your lower environment first.
Let me know.
I was seeing that with my own research. Once I do the in place upgrade to 2025-05 other than bringing up Replicate and seeing that all the tasks and endpoints are available and working is there anything else that I need to check before doing the same in place update to the 2025.11 version?
I have another question about the upgrade path. I have 4 replicate servers one each for DEV, QAT, Pred-Prod and Prod. The DEV and QAT servers are managed by 1 Enterprise Manager server. The Pre-Prod and Prod Replicate servers are managed by a second Enterprise Manager server. This was done since the DEV/QAT environments are in one AWS account and the Pre-Prod and Prod environments are in a second AWS account. I am thinking that I have to upgrade the three servers in the DEV/QAT environment at the same time. I cannot migrate the QEM and DEV Replicate server from version 05/2004 to 05/2025 and leave the QAT server at version 05.2024 until we complete the testing. Is that assumption correct?

The safest path is upgrading first to 2025.5 and then moving to 2025.11 SP1. Doing big version jumps directly can sometimes create compatibility or migration issues, especially in production environments.
