Data Validation Approaches

Hi Community!

I've worked with multiple tools previously, and all of them had some level of basic data validation that could have been done natively from the tool itself.

I see that Qlik Replicate lacks in this aspect, this is of course up to the extent of what I've explored in Qlik Replicate.

Could any of you guide me, on what are the native features that we can use for basic data validation, let's say something simple such as row counts, if after a task completion we could check the source row count and then instantly validate it with the monitor tab result of the task.

I'm open to all options here, I'm just identifying methods on how to perform data validation or at least some basic checks to ensure no data is lost and the integrity is maintained.

Thanks in advance!

Hello @vinayak_m

There is basic validation is there. during the Full load on monitor dashboard, it will show you approx. row count however when it shows full load completed then it shows you the actual row count.

its Depend upon the table is static or Dynamic.

for CDC when you shar the task it will keep Counters of the changes and applied onto the target as well

when you restart the task then it will reset the counters.

Hello @vinayak_m ,

There are similar discussion:

  1. Process integrity checks
  2. Handling duplicates and validations in Qlik replicate

BTW, there is a Feature Request article, you may vote it, or open a new.

Qlik Replicate - Row checksum to ensure integrity of data

Hope this helps.

John.
