We are working currently data migration from DB2 to PostgreSQL with CDC(Change data capture). we are facing issue of generating sorter files and because of this server going down.
We tried different solution mentioned on Qlik support like increasing memory size, changing CDC settings but still we are facing this issue.
Thank you for the post to the QDI Forums. As per the post the tswp (swap) files are generating from the Source and Target cached events from the uncommitted transactions between the Source and Target you have defined in the Task. You can have the logger TRACE set on TARGET_APPLY under the Logging setting to check on the Target Apply to see if this is related to the Source or Target.
Depending on the incoming transactions and these transactions not being committed this would be a cause as well to the amount of files in the Replicate\Task\sorter directory. Along with some Batch process running on the Source?
If there is a server outage this would cause Latency within the Task which would also cause an issue with the increased tswp files as well as it has to capture the changes from the time the Server went down until it catches up. If you need more in depth information I suggest you open a Support case to help better understand the Server failing as well as the tswp files.
