Hi team,
I tried replaying a task from 27th DEC (and the log retention is set to 21 days), but it replays the task for only 1-2 hours before the current timing . And I unable to replay it from 27th DEC.
Can anyone help me on this.?
Regards,
Antony S
Hi Antony,
Its possible that the logs were already purged.
When logs are deleted from the database (e.g. due to a purge policy), a log matching the specified date and time may not exist. In this case, Replicate will resume the task from the earliest point possible, after the specified date and time.
Thanks
Lyka
Hmm, not much to go on.
My best guess based on the information provided is that the task was simply done, caught up, after 2 hours. Success!
What makes you think it is NOT working? Is there an error message on the UI and/or in the reptask log you failed to mention? What is the current latency and throughput, and is that as you expect?
When you monitor the task, when was the 'last modified' (sort that column descending) and is that changing?
Be sure to have logging for PERFORMANCE set to trace - what does the tail of the reptask log look like ? Latency indicated every 30 seconds? "task running" every 30 minutes?
Any errors/warnings? (search log for "]E:" or "]W:")
If you do have errors you may need to provide some information notably on the Source Endpoint configuration.
Which DB? What log reader settings if not default?
Good luck!
Hein.
