Hello everyone,
I'm looking for recommandations as I'm surprised about some answers from the Bot.
I would like to upgrade qlik replicate version 7.0.0.356 with che corresponding component R4Z for DB2 z/os (version v7.0.0.533) to a qlik replicate supported, so meaning at least the version 2023.11
I heard in the past that the Qlik version 7.0 corresponds to the version 2020.11 and it was impossible to upgrade at one time more than 2 versions. But the Chat bot didn't tell me this, and just recommend to upgrade directly to the version 2023.11.
Do you have some feedbacks ? Did someone perform an upgrade with more than 2 versions ?
Many thanks for your support.
Yes, what you need to do is follow the Release Notes for upgrading Replicate to current version(May 2025, for example, without Stopping and resuming tasks. Rapid fire, upgrade, then upgrade then upgrade, etc. Download all latest fix packs as per what is listed in the Community Downloads page. Do this in one session.
And when you reach May 2025 for example, you can simply do a FRESH install for R4Z May 2025. Example: Schema.R4Z_CDC_UDTF__C525. You should build a brand-new CDC UDTF and APPLENV and PROCLIB using a NEW Suffix, as per the User Guide. This allows you to have the old version available if needed.
Also be mindful to back up the \DATA folder between upgrades and be mindful of all ODBC drivers for ALL source and targets. You MUST upgrade to the REQUIRED drivers in the User Guide for May 2025 for example. Also check the Version of your source and target database environments to make sure May 2025 supports the database versions.

Also 2023.11 is out of support so please set your sights on May 2025.
