When will the patches be updated on the Download site?

Hi Team,

When will the patch for the recently released Replicate version be updated on the Download Site? And where will the Release Notes that can tell you about the changes in the patch version be updated? The latest versions (2023. May, 2023. Nov, 2024. May, etc.) are only answered in some communities and can only be downloaded from those answers. Is there a reason why they are not posted on the official download site? If you don't check everything that is posted on the community every day, you might not even know if there is a patch, and it's hard to find it, and it's also hard to know what changes were made with the patch. Please make it easy to get information on changes and downloads for patches.

Hi @khchoy

Qlik releases versions such every year May and November are often shared only through community responses or support cases.
In many cases, they are not uploaded to the official download portal, but GA versions are avaialable as far I know.

I would recommend raising a support case or community post for any qlik product upgrades and our support engineers will take care of providing download links

Thanks
Naren

Hi @khchoy

Thanks for your feedback. I would advise working with your Partner Manager to try and influence changes in this regard.

What I can do, is describe our current practices which I hope will help.

The main downloads page includes the initial release of a version as well as any Service Releases that become available. As @narendersarva mentioned, major versions are released twice per year - but there are no criteria for when a Service Release becomes available. That decision is made on a variety of criteria; number and severity of fixes available, etc. A Service Release will correspond to a Service Pack, but there is no correlation between the Service Release number and the Service Pack number (e.g., SP3 might be SR1, etc.). See below for information on Service Packs.

Regarding documentation, release notes for major versions are here: Release Notes | Qlik Community

The User Guide is available from the Help link within Qlik Replicate, or at Start | Qlik Help

We also release Service Packs which target specific issues in the software that are driven by Support Cases as well as our internal development progress. They generally only include fixes, but some new features/functionality may also be included.

A PDF listing the fixed items is provided at the same download location as the Service Pack.

When we know the impact of a particular issue may broadly impact many customers, we will notify users via a Community post. You can subscribe to Community updates to be notified when this happens:

General:

Apart from this, please open a Support case for your issue to see if there is a Service Pack available for it. Also, we advise opening a support case when you are upgrading so you can get the latest Service Pack for the version you are upgrading to.

Thanks,

Dana
