Configuring dimension label on Qlik Sense Bullet chart

I'm trying to configure the dimension label on the Qlik Sense Bullet chart to display an "Ahead" or "Behind" alert if the bar is ahead or behind the reference line. In this case, This Years sales is on the Bar and Last Years Sales is on the line.  I figured a simple IF statement would do the trick, but it's not working for me.  Does anyone know a better expression to use here that would accomplish this?

I'm using: =if( [TY Sales] < [LY Sales],  'Behind',  'Ahead' )

Also, I'd like to color the bar one color if it's short of the line and another color if it's past the line, but it doesn't look like this object supports that.  If anyone knows any hacks for this I'd be interested.

See pic below and qvf attached.  Thanks in advance for your help!
