1 Filter to determine 2 Filters independently

HI,

I want to creat an overview dashboard showing import and export flows on each side of the screen.

The data consists, among others, of elements like consignee and consignor + Traffic Direction (Import / Export)

Some consignees have import and export flows and I want to show the overall "client picture" in the dashboard.

This means I need a filter where I can chose the client name, e.g. PANASONIC.

This filter than should set PANASONIC as consignor for my export view and as consignee for my import view, without affecting the other side's figures.

How can I create such a "master-filter" that applies for consingee and consignor linked with the Import/Export selection.

Thanks

Markus

Not sure but you may create one island table( Master Filter) with all the names. You make 'PANASONIC' selection in this master filter. You can set up other filters or charts by comparing this value using Getfieldselections(Masterfilter).

Or may be via using alternate state.

Its All about the BUTTONS.

This might be an option but this would mean having a huge manual effort, every time a new client would be added to the data base. Then, it would ne necessary to amaend the master table manually.

This is not helping for determining 2 dimensions with one filter at the same time.

I want to show Import and Export figures on the same sheet.

Hi Markus,

What does your data model look like? You could probably solve this in the data model and that might be both easy and give your users a really powerful solution.

Hi Erik,

in the data model I have different columns/dimensions for e.g.

consignee

consignor

traffic direction

turnover

...

Don't know what to change in the data model?!

Markus

Hi,

Not sure this is a good idea without access to your data modell, but you could instead have fields like role (consignee/consignor) and company (PANASONIC).

The problem is, that this model cannot be changed as other systems need to have this seperation.
