Creating Filter Panes to select date ranges - Qlik Sense

Hiya

Wish to create a bar chart in Sense that will display data based on a date range. 

June 2014 - to May 2015 selected from Filter Panes.

at the moment when you select a year, then a month...it just shows the single month selected in the Bar chart.

really need to be able to select a range. is it possible to bring up a calendar? like you use on hotel booking web sites?

Is this possible in Sense 2.0?

This video was very helpful, but users like to be able to pick a range from a number of dynamic drop downs Do you think this feature will come soon in next version of sense?

Extensions are not "supported" in theory when using them in a established business environment to create apps.

telling users to use >=date<=date is not practical

is there a way of creating a date field that when you select it, it shows either the next 12 months data in bar chart or previous 12 months?
