Dimension name on filter bar

Hi,

When naming a master dimension, the label on the filter bar has the field name instead of the dimension name.

Is there a way to bypass it?

Thanks!

i didnt find direct option.....  but  you can create  field with your required name in the script

and use the same in master dimension.

create in script

BP_GroupCode  as  [Group Code]

Hi,

Yes, I'm aware of this option. But i expected that the label would be taken from the master dimension.

I think that this feature is a must.

Thanks!

Think so, As of now, it's (By passing Name) not possible, we are seeing this behavior from previous versions too.

Hi!!

Give 'Group Code' in Label expression

OmarBenSalem

DO AS FOLLOW in ur master dimension definition:

if(BP_GroupCode  =BP_GroupCode  ,BP_GroupCode  )

with that, Qlik will label the enw created dimension with the new label; if u don't "alter' ur dimension, Qlik will always keep the original field name.

Hope that helps

If a selection is made on a dimension defined in this way, will references to the field 'BP_GroupCode' in set analysis behave as expected?  thanks
