How to copy apps from Qlik Sense server to Desktop

Hi

I know that it is not possible to copy an app from Qlik Sense Hub to  Desktop under normal circumstances. However, would there be any other way that we could do that OR would it be made possible in future releases of Qlik Sense ?

I believe that would be great it that is possible due to several reasons.

Thanks

Senarath

That's correct, but what I'm saying is that you must export your app from the qmc

export.JPG

That will generate a .qvf that you can copy on the QlikSense desktop folder.

Am I missing something? Maybe I'm not understanding what you really want.

Cheers,

Andrés

Hi Senarath, you can export from the qmc the .qvf and then copy that file on your local Sense folder (C:\Users\yourUser\Documents\Qlik\Sense\Apps). Then when you open your  QlikSense desktop it appears there.

Hope it helps,

Andrés

Hi Andres,

That path is not a valid path in the Qlik Sense server. In the server, apps are not stores as qvf files.
