How to do document chaining in Sense?

Hi,

Currently it seems document chaining is not available in Sense? Is it possible to built an extension that implement API to open another Sense applications by passing selections parameters in the URL?

Thx for your answers,

Michael

I've posted a document with sample applications demonstrating such feature.

I am also very interested in seeing this feature in Sense.

It's really the best way to scale out to large data sets while maintaining a simple document (as opposed to database) based model.

I think it's possible now without extension. It would require to add some logic to calculate link to target application with all parameters though

Take a look at aswers at How to drill through other reports in Qlik Sense

Hi Michael,

As Vadim mentioned, I believe that document chaining is possible.

Check this single object configuration on https://<server>/single/ for the older version or http://<server>/dev-hub/single-configurator

This gives you leverage to access objects in any app and serve our purpose of document chaining.

This is great help!

For the time being you've put together probably the best way to perform Document Chaining using Qlik Sense I have been able to find; That Action Extension is definitely the key ingredient.

Cheers,
Neil.

Good job Vadim

Currently this is also the only way I found to achieve some doc chaining.

Cheers,

Michael
