How to get Sum of values for Selected month and a month previous to selected month?

I have a filter pane for Date.I am supposed to select Date Filter Pane.pnga single date from this filter pane.

On Selecting a date, I want to populate sum of sum field values for the selected field(viz.3/31/2018) and also sum of same field values for a month previous to selected month (viz. 2/28/2018) in a pivot table.Date is not a dimension of pivot table. Is there any way to do this? Please note that I don't want to select any date apart from a single selected date.Will it be possible to get sum calculation for the date field that is in unselected state?
