Hi Team,
In Qlik Sense, even the user with read access to the folder defined in the folder connection, but the user still can use "STORE" command in script and can overwrite the existing QVD's, they can also create new QVD's ,.csv & .xlsx data files in this folder.
So basically Qlik Sense will use service account to connect to all data connections. Hence it is this service account who has the read/write access.
But this should be controlled by security rule. Tried to create the security rule to limit the exporting data. but any user still can create QVD.
Is there any solution?
Thanks
Lisa
I am not sure if this can be done through security rule, a bug or a feature request.
Hi,
There should be access rights for Data Connections created via the QMC. I'll see if I can find out with the QMC Admin... mayeb tomorrow,
Cheers,
Luis
Any new ideas? 🙂
I need the option to deny a "store into qvd", too.
Otherwise Self Service will not work, because someone will overwrite a QVD.
