Qlik Sense Bar Chart scroller - colour vs monochrome

Hi everyone,

Could anyone tell me why one of the charts below has a monochrome slider, while the other has a colour slider?

In fact, I just found that this happens when "Colour by....expression" is selected.  Thanks for responding anyway.

But, when I do this, the legend disappears. Not what I would have hoped for.
