Qlik Sense Default Filter

Hello Everyone,

I'm having trouble with creating default filter that will not ignore date selection.

So my code for pivot table looks like this:

Sum({<MTD={'$(=Today())'}>}Amount_Actual)

But when i click on different date in my filter pane it ignores my selection. I already tried adding $ sign and 1 didnt help.

Basically my app shows initially Today's Sales Amount but i need to be able pick older date and update my pivot tables accordingly. Please help. Thank you !
