QlikSense extend sheet feature in June 2018 version -is it compatible with older versions?

Hi,

I had a question about the extend sheet functionality in QlikSense June 2018 version.

my understanding is that unlike "grid resizing" that takes your current screen and stretches objects, the extend sheet is better in a lot of cases as it allows the user to scroll rather than cramming charts all in one spot.

Is this feature reverse compatible? Example:

I have an app now, that I want to extend. I extend it  using the "extend sheet button" on June 2018 QlikSense Desktop.

I give the app to someone on November 2017 QlikSense desktop.

Will they be able to use the app in the same way with the sheet extended already?

My guess is... there may be some rendering changes with doing so, so likely not reverse compatible?

My use case:

my company is on November 2017 QlikSense (both server/desktop).

Upgrades may NOT be coming very soon, as they would want to do testing of all extensions don't break, etc before moving to a new version.

We are not allowed to use "open source" extensions.. I am aware there is an extension on GitHub called "screen resizer" that allows you to resize the screen.

hi,

you can create app with the old version and read app in the new version but if you create or modify an app with the news features and you import in old version, your app doesn't work.

Old version to new version ==> no problem

new version with news features to old version ==> problem with the news features
