Question on Using same data models across different Apps

Is it possible to create one data model and use it across many apps or each app should have its own dedicated data model.

Hi Tony!

I think you should use Binary load in data load editor.

"Binary

The binary statement is used for loading the data from another Qlik Sense app or QlikView 11.2 or earlier

document, including section access data."  - Script Syntax and Chart Functions Qlik Sense 1.1

Guide

Example:

Binary lib://MyData/customer.qvw;

Thank you, this is what i was looking for, this works for us,

I had another question related to this, can we also reuse dimensions and measures from one app in another app in the same way.

As far as I know that is not possible.

Thanks for the reply, had another query, in our project we are trying to follow a model where we have one app which can be used by different clients, we realized this can be done by creating different streams with required security access for each client. We also found that we can publish this app to a stream, what we are not able to figure out and need help with is how to publish the same app across different streams, right now we are having to take duplicates of the apps and publish to different streams which is not ideal.

I think the only way the achieve it, what you want, is the current duplicates/publish method.
