Task failure notification

I have been looking for a way to send an alert if a Qlik Sense schedule task fails to run.  In my particular case the schedule tasks are retrieving data from SAP and updating QVD files.  My solution was to create an application that retrieved the ‘last date modified’ datetime of our QVD files and stores it in a sql table.  This is then compared with the current date and if it’s greater than 5 hours an alert email is generated and sent to our Qlik Admin team. The tasks are scheduled early in the morning and are normally completed by 6AM so we run the task at 6:30AM and 7:30AM.

It’s not an “ideal” solution as the email/text is not generated directly from qlik, but that is not currently available and this was my workaround
