stack bar charts, segments

Hiya

I want to create a time line, no of days using a stacked bar chart. Not a line chart.

where bars are showing left to right (to show timeline)...rather than bottom to top

department is the first dimension, and customerID is the second dimension

The measure is the sum(Number of Shopping days)

how do I change this sum so it does not group the totals... is there such thing as a aggr sum?

please help

I don't understand what you mean with 'does not group the totals'. Can you explain with an example?

Hiya

each department has a colour

1 = green

2 = red

3 = blue

a customer (ID1) has spent 10 days in green, 15 days in red, 2 days in green , and finally 10 days in blue.

the stack chart is showing me

ID1 ...Green, Red,  Blue    (segments)

           12       15        10

I need the stack to show

ID1 ...Green, Red, Green  Blue  (Segments)

           10       15       2         10

please help

How are the green segments different? What attribute is different?

Hiya

I am trying to show the different is the number of days a customer has spent shopping back and forth different departments over a year (Time line) - difference in days spent in each department, and sometimes the department is revisited.

the bar ID reads left to right Y AXIS

along the bottom is the measure...number of days X AXIS

its like a time line, but instead of date on the X AXIS is I have number of days

start date

Green 01/01/2015 - 10 days

Red     11/01/2015   15 days

Green  27/01/2015   2 days

Blue     30/01/2015 10 days

ID1 ...Green, Red, Green  Blue  (Segments)

           10       15       2         10

basically bar is showing 3 segments, I need it to show 4

please help

Ok, so you need to use start date as dimension too.

Department  & [Start Date]   - as Dimension. its working, but I need the segments to be same colour
