Dsum in qlik sense

i have a problem with qlik Sense that i didn't have in qlik View. i need to write an expression for a partial sum like this:

carcolor$

car 1blu50
car 2yellow70
car 3yellow30
car 4red20
car 5blu90

name of table=cars

how can i write in the expression the DSum?

in other words, how can i have Yellow=100 in an expression?

in excel or access there's the Dsum, in qlik?

thank you very much for your support!

Re: Dsum in qlik sense

Then use sum(total <Color> [$]). If the field name is not Color, but color then use sum(total <color> [$])

Re: Dsum in qlik sense

sum(total <color> [amount]). Replace the names color and amount with your real case sensitive field names.

Re: Dsum in qlik sense

Dear Gysbert, thank you for your reply. unfortunately i am not able to do this.

can you tell me where i am wrong if i wrote this expression:

sum(total <color='yellow'> [$])

or

sum (total <yellow> [$])

thank you again for any reply to my question!

Is 'yellow' the name of the field? Or is it 'color'?

Re: Dsum in qlik sense

Color is the name of the field of the table of the database

yellow is a data entry

excuse me if i stress you, but i am not an IT manager...only a business controller who needs to work with qlik!

Re: Dsum in qlik sense

Dear Gysbert,

i have another question for the same threat: in qliksense i wanna create a KPI Graph that shows me the result of the formula= 100

i wrote: sum(total <yellow> [$])

to obtain the result of the kpi = 100

but doesn't run, i have "error in the formula".
