Filter data by date, but use another date in a chart

It might sound strange and un-doable, please keep me honest...

I have a dashboard I use a master filter box, allowing filtering by a Creation Date. I have also a Bar Chart that charts the n. of Cancellations by Cancel Date.

If I use the Creation Date filter on that chart, obviously the data is wrongly reported (Showing Cancellations by Cancel Date, filtered by Creation date...)

My question is: is there any way, not modifying the load script, to apply a filter to that specific chart (changing the dimension I imagine) so that the filtered date (creation) is instead applied to the cancel date ?

thanks!

You can try changing your chart expressions. For example if you have an expression count(OrderID) then you can change it to count({<[Cancel Date]=P([Creation Date]),[Creation Date]=>} OrderID).
