Fernando
There isn't any support in the current version of Qlik Sense to use the SAPConnector "as is". As a workaround you could:
- Activate legacy mode in Qlik Sense Desktop:
- Copy the script from QlikView 11 (including the "CONNECT TO...." statement) and paste into Qlik Sense Desktop
- Add the full path to the dll you are using in the connect statement:
Original:
CUSTOM CONNECT TO "Provider=QvSAPConnector.dll;.......
Edited with full path:
CUSTOM CONNECT TO "Provider=C:\Program Files\Common Files\QlikTech\Custom Data\QvSAPConnector\QvSAPConnector.dll;....
Support for SAP connectivity is coming. Also, connectivity to SAP HANA can be made directly through ODBC today (as they can be in QlikView) , so that at least is available today in Sense.
Thanks a lot Denis,
this helped me a lot for migrating a deployment to QlikSense.
Best Regards
Alexander
Hi Frank,
Please find the latest Qlik Sense - SAP connector tutorial available here:
Hi Sangram,
I have SAP transports already configured for Qlikview. I recently installed the SAP connector for Qliksense.
But it tells me that client 300 doesn't exist.
Do I need to install separate transports for Qliksense?
Hi Chandini,
Did you transport the TR(transport) to quality and production?
Thanks,
Sangram.
Hi,
Update on this topic:
You can use all QlikView SAP Connectors (in fact any QlikView Custom Connector) in your Qlik Sense load scripts. Legacy mode is NOT required.
