Central Node as Production purpose and RIM node as development

I have a RIM node that has "Development" purpose and a central node that has "both" purpose:

Can I change  the Central node purpose from "Both" to "Production"? What will happen?

Can I change  the Central node purpose from "Both" to "Production"? What will happen?

In 'Production' mode your users wont be able to make new content and the 'Create new app' button will be removed from the hub.

When changing the node purpose it is not an instant change, and may require a restart of the services to come into effect.
