Dimension desappears from map when publishing app

Hi all,

I have created  maps on Qlik Sense Desktop, where I color the points by dimensions.

I now need to share that so I have published it on a hub and the dimension seems to have dropped in the process. When I  try to add it manually, I get the following error:

The action you are attempting cannot be applied to this visualization.

Would anyone know how to solve this problem ?

Many thanks,

Mariam

Mariam,

I've submitted few issues related to QS mapping object in the last few months.

They were accepted as bugs:

QLIK-72410 - "Measure's option is missing in Map Object (in Area Mode)"

QLIK-41808 - "Issues displaying points data on MapObject"

QLIK-69321 - "Color options are corrupted on Map object after migration"

All of the issues are related to app's migration process...

I was told that they will be fixed in 3.2 SR4 (?) or 4.0/4.1 releases later in the year.

The only workaround so far is to re-create the object on the published side and copy/paste all Dimensions and Measures...

Sorry for the bad news, but looks like Qlik wants to push users to buy the newly acquired GeoAnalytics component instead of fixing the simple and default Mapping object....

Vlad

Hi Vladimir,

Thank you for you quick answer.

I have tried as you said to recreate the maps on the published side but I can't event solve it that way as I get always the same error. The action you are attempting cannot be applied to this visualization.

That is quite unfortunate indeed. I am going to contact the support team to see when they are planning to solve this.

Thanks and Regards,

Mariam
