Hi,

Detailed requirements for the users you need to successful install Qlik NPrinting are in the help site page:

User accounts ‒ Qlik NPrinting

Ruggero,

Unfortunately,  "the Detailed Requirements" are not 100% accurate. See Using different (from QS) users to start NP services

I read the linked post and we are evaluating if it is necessary to add "same domain" as a requirement. If after testing and evaluation "same domain" becomes a requirement it will be added in the page.

In any case the first question of this conversation is answered in the official documentation that should always be the starting point.

Ruggero,

Just to clarify: in the case Rohit has mentioned, we have used two separate LOCAL ADMIN accounts to install QS and NPrinting, but have to re-arrange the respecful services to run under the same DOMAIN account at the end. This was the only way in our case to make the NP Connectors working with QS applications.

No Section Access or other authentication restrictions were set in any of the applications. Tried it on both QS 3.2 and Sept 2017 releases along with NP 17.2 and Sept 2017...

Regards,

Vlad

Yes, you need two separate users.

Or better, the user used into the Qlik NPrinting Windows Services must be reserved only for them and cannot be used for other services. As consequence you need two or more separate users.

Please read carefully the page User accounts ‒ Qlik NPrinting to be aware of all details. For example: "You must use a different Windows user account for each Qlik NPrinting Engine instance if you are connecting to QlikView."
