Hi guys,
Just wanted to get a better understanding of how a session is defined in QlikSense - I am working off of a 3.0 Qlik Sense Server implementation and wanted to get an understanding of what these sessions are. I am currently preparing some usage stats and noticed that "sessions" in the license monitor shows a different number compared to the Sessions detail sheet within the Operation Monitor dashboard.
For example - I identified the following in the License Monitor:
Next, I exported the following from the Session Detail:
So finally checking the details - I found 12 records for Jan 15.
Not sure how these records ended up becoming 5 sessions. Anyone able to shed some insights?
Thanks,
K
User access history is not applicable in the current user-based license model: Professional & Analyzer accesses. Anyway, pls find some short summary below (tested yesterday, Oct 29, 2020).
# there is more session types: engine sessions, proxy sessions, ... more in articles given below
# the engine session is a combination of a userID and session key (more less: user & app)
# a specific session starts when you open an app
# sessions are killed when you close your web-browser or a tab
# sessions are terminated by system timeout as well
