How to automatically publish app in qlik sense

I will like to know if its possible that we can scheduled publishing app trough task. I will not want  after every modification on original app to create duplicate and from duplicate to  publishing the app through stream, and if I forget to duplicate the original app  all may work is gone .

The app is removed from your "My Work" stream only if publish it the first time.

Selecting the "Replace existing app" while publishing will keep your application still available in your work folder:

You can schedule the app's update through task (even in your Work folder), but I would advise against that.

Manual publishing might be time consuming, but it's safe, IMHO.

Hi Vladimir thank you for your answer I know this approach. Problem is when you do same modification on your application you have to duplicate that modify  application and after that to publish. This mean every time after modification you have to duplicate app and publish.

Not sure that I understand your issue.

If you do what Vlad said then you don't lose anything.

You make changes in your Work area.  Then publish your latest version by replacing the existing app in your stream. The working copy remains in your work area if you want so that you can make more changes.  Or get rid of it and the next time you need to make changes duplicate it to your work area and repeat the process.

You really do not want to be updating the published apps directly.  Unless you are a gambler.

This process works very well for us.  You have to have some controls in place.

Mark is absolutely correct. The app is moving from "Your Stream" to the published stream only the first time you are publishing it...

If you are replacing the existing one, your copy stays intact and could be used for further modifications...

Hi Vlad,

I have a question regarding the first time app being published.

So basicaly if you create new app and publish it for the first time, it moves from Work to the chossen stream.

How can I prevent the app from moving from Work invironment ?

I want to keep that app at Work when I first time publishing it. (without doing duplicate everytime).

Is there is a configuration for this ?

Thanks in advance!
