Does not matter the type of licensing: token-based or users-based.

I double check - user allways has access pass.

problem appers on clean instalation and after upgrade. Some times help restart all server, some times clean all browser cache.

with help of tech support, I found the answer.

situation 1.

I use qlik sense service user. In Qlik Sense there is a limit of 5 simultaneous session you can open with the same user having a User Access Pass.  During reload monitors apps QS use API and very fast use all avalable connections.

situation2

I was check my application and open in new Chrome tab above 7 application. In Chrome all tab is dedicate process = decicate session. That is, I reached the limit

situation 3

the same as in situation 3.  User was reach to number session limit.

Hi there,

We are coming across this issue using QS Sep 2017 - sometimes we are sharing usernames and passwords between few developers/users and leaving a session open somewhere sometimes results in this this issue. We find 3 sessions for the same user are still ok, any more sessions open will result in next user/developer to get "No access pass" error message. This would explain why you are seeing improvement after restart and/or when the cache is dropped. That's what we do too.

We don't hit this issue as often - so we haven't really spend much time on figuring out if there is anything else we can do to prevent this from happening in future. Not sure if this helps you - but good luck!

Thanks,

Michalina

Thank you for your interest in my question.

For example:

Situation 1 (User-based license)

Clean installation QS June 2018. That is, I work alone in the system. I assigned a license for my user in QMC. I have tried  to open monitoring application or create new application and  saw  a "no access pass” error message.   Restarted my session log off and log on again – not help. Closed browser and open again not help  Only helped restart all  QS server services.

Situation 2 (Token-based license)

Used Chrome, last version. I was upgrade my DemoServer from April to June and opened several applications - everything OK.  In next second I saw error message (You don't have access pass) and all. Open QMC - check is  my user had assigned User access pass and rootadmin rights. All OK - I have a User Access pass.

restart QS services - not help

Try use Firefox - not help

Clear Chrome cache, cookies and etc.  - it's was help for me in this situation.

Situation 3 (Token-based license)

Our client reported me about the same problem: during work appers error message “No access pass”. Helped clean browser cache, cookies. From their words they faced with this problem only in Chrome.

I got this using the Firefox browser. Closing the browser wasn't enough, I had to go to the History menu, select Clear Recent History. ... and then check every box.

Really annoying as I lost a host of other usernames and data.

When will Qlik fix this?
