Hello Everybody;
We have Iphone users access issue.
We are able to access with local computer and adroid devices but when we have tried with Iphone devices this error is displayed:
"An error occurred Connection to the Qlik Sense engine failed for unspecified reasons. Refresh your browser or contact your system administrator".
we have already defined QMC server IP address to the central proxy 'host white list' but still getting the same error. Do you have any other solution regarding this issue?
Thank in advance.
regards;
O.Y
You try to use HTTP instead of HTTPS ?
Hi,
I assume you use HTTPS for reaching qlik sense and using a self signed certificate which is created by qlik sense. As far as I know IOS don't trust self signed certificates anymore.
You have two option:
- Allow HTTP on qmc and use HTTP
OR
- Get a certificate from a valid authority and run qlik sense with this ceritificate
Hope it helps.
Hi,
sorry for the late reply.
We have tried both http and https, but none of them not working.
We will upgrade qliksense version to new april version and we will try again.
Hi Onur,
What you describe is definetely a certificate issue. Using http should worked actually.
Are you sure about connecting qlik sense over "http://..." url over iphone after enabling http option? Becasue you can still reach qlik sense over https after enabling http option?
Hi Kaan,
We have discussed certificate option and we will reconsidere it, if version upgrade not work.
http option already added the 'host white list' option but not working.
Iphone users actually able to access the applicaton but when they click to the sheet they are getting the error.
thank you for your comments.

Hi Onur,
Actaully, adding http and https options for same url on whitelist does not mean qlik sense can work both option.
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/sense/April2018/Subsystems/ManagementConsole/Content/edit-proxies.htm
You should go to QMC>Proxies>edit proxy>ports and choose "allow http". Give a proper port if 80 is in use from "Service Listen Port HTTP" on same page.
Add your url whitout http or https to your virtual proxy whitelist.
Hi Kaan,
http option already configured on proxy settings.
for the proxy whitelist, I will try your suggession later.
thank you for your comments,
