Hi,

Yes, you can install the desktop versions of QlikView and Qlik Sense on the same machine.

With your installation issue, are you installing Qlik Sense onto a 64 bit environment, also are you installing the desktop client version onto a desktop O/S eg Windows 7?

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Rod

Hi,

Sorry, I have not tried installing both server versions on the same machine.

With your installation issue, does the log file hold any clues (you can click the link on the bottom left corner of the installation windows to view the log)?

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Rod

Hi,

The log file indicates there is already a QlikView server running on the machine.  For reference the line in the log file is:

[0FE8:16E8][2015-04-09T12:45:09]i000: Evaluated install condition QlikViewServer11X64Sr1Sr2 to True

Also, I just checked the Release Notes and on page 17 it says Qlik Sense Server cannot be installed on a machine with QlikView Server:

Qlik Sense (server) cannot be installed if a Server of a previous version (QlikView 11.20 or earlier) is installed on the same computer. In that case you will have to uninstall before proceeding with the new installation.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Rod

Hi Rohit,

You can install both QlikView and Qlik Sense on the same machine but the proper way to do it is to install Qlik Sense first and then QlikView and not the other way around.

I had run into the same issue and our Qlik partner suggested that we install Qlik Sense first and then QlikView and it worked.

Thanks,

Deepti
