Hello! Is there a configuration and optimization guide for running Qlik Sense in a VM? We are having an issue with the load script where process time has crept up to 45 minutes and cpu is at 100% within the Hyper-V guest. Configuration is set to best practices optimal and host has lots of available resources. Guest just doesn't seem to be taking advantage of host resources. Never had an issue like this before in a VM.
Any help would be appreciated.
Server 2012 Standard Guest on Server 2008 r2 HOST
64gb ram
dual XEON processors, 24 cores
Maybe this can help you

Hi Mike,
Maybe the problem could be in the load script and not the VM. Did you tried running the load script in another machine ?
Also check with IT if the VM is configured to disable memory ballooning. The memory must be allocated to Qlik VM. Check the processor allocation, better to have some of them dedicated to the VM as well.

Pablo

Thanks for the reply! This is a Hyper-V environment rather than VMware.
Thanks for the reply! This is a hyper-v environment rather than VMware, but ballooning is equivalent to dynamic memory allocation in hyper-v and we have static ram assigned. Could be a script issue so we will investigate that as well.
Hi Mike,
Don´t forget to update this thread after your finish your investigation. Good Luck !
