change central node to a new minimum configuration server

Hi,

We currently have a multinode environment where one node is central node and also working as schedular node, proxy node and database repository

We have added one other minimum configuration server to the environment and would like to use that as a central node and utilize existing node as a schedular node only

I tried to look up the help and documentation on how to change the central node to a new seperate node. Will appreciate if someone could guide

Regards

Arif

The only way I have ever seen Qlik recommend handling this is by reinstalling your Qlik Sense environment. There are waaaaaaay too many settings in the Postgresql db and configurations that are set up to configure what is the principal central server to try to repoint this. While you are able to set up a failover rim node, at its core it's still a rim node. It can masquerade as a central node, but at install time it was configured as a rim node joining an existing cluster. If you're going to tackle something like this you'll need to reach out to Qlik Tech and ask for guidance or you could be setting yourself up for a world of hurt.
